MOREHEAD, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--#KDMIH<\/a>--Rajant Corporation, pioneer of Kinetic Mesh\u00ae resilient networking and sovereign defense manufacturing is announcing the Kentucky Defense Manufacturing Innovation Hub (KDMIH) expansion project at its campus in Morehead, Kentucky.<\/p><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>

\nPhase-one buildout is already underway within Rajant\u2019s existing 48,000 square-foot facility, with approximately 30,000 square feet immediately available for production operations. The proposed expansion will scale the campus to approximately 148,000 square feet of highly automated, AI-driven manufacturing capacity, designed to support next-generation defense, autonomous systems, and aerospace operations.<\/p>

\nAt full planned capacity, the facility is designed to support high-volume production of \u201cFlying Cowbell\u201d tactical first-person-view (FPV) drone systems and Unibell brushless motors, alongside a dedicated 2,000 square-foot certified clean room intended for future aerospace and satellite assembly opportunities. All production will meet NDAA-compliant supply chain requirements and operational resiliency requirements shaped by real-world deployment environments.<\/p>

\nThis expansion directly addresses accelerating demand for rugged, edge-native autonomous systems and sovereign manufacturing capacity capable of supporting resilient operations in contested and denied environments.<\/p>

\nRajant serves as the resilient Kinetic Mesh-Over-Everything networking foundation and sovereign U.S. manufacturing base. Its majority-owned subsidiary, Rajant Health Incorporated (RHI), provides the distributed edge AI and autonomy layer through the Cowbell platform and ecosystem. Together, they advance Rajant\u2019s national campaign platform: \u201cNot Bound By Dependency\u201d: not bound by foreign supply chains, contested logistics, or legacy manufacturing constraints.<\/p>

\nThe KDMIH initiative is on track to create 85 to 100 high-skill aerospace and advanced manufacturing jobs in Eastern Kentucky.
