\nIn his commentary, Phoenix outlines how advisors contemplating breaking away from wirehouses, for example, should be thinking as they picture a career beyond their broker\/dealer ecosystems.<\/p>

\n\u201cAs more advisors leave traditional wirehouses and legacy firms, they are presented with an expanding universe of \u2018independent\u2019 options: aggregators, hybrid platforms, and broker-dealer affiliated RIA offerings,\u201d Phoenix writes.<\/p>

\nUltimately, according to Phoenix, the firms and advisors examining these questions effectively will define the future of the industry\u2014and truly own what they build.<\/p>
