MERRILL, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CM CARES\u00ae<\/a> \u2014 the Church Mutual Insurance Company Foundation \u2014 announced that employees helped direct $45,000 to 14 nonprofits across the country through the foundation\u2019s employee-led giving program.<\/p><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>

\nHeld twice a year, the initiative invites employees across Church Mutual and its family of companies to nominate nonprofit organizations making a difference in their communities. This spring, employees nominated more than 70 nonprofits across the United States.<\/p>

\nThe selected organizations received funding through CM CARES\u00ae, highlighting causes employees feel personally connected to in the communities where they live and work.<\/p>

\n\u201cAll-In Milwaukee is deeply grateful to CM Cares for this partnership. With this support, 725 limited-income students from Milwaukee are earning college degrees through scholarships, wraparound support, and career development opportunities,\u201d said Allison Wagner, Executive Director of All-In Milwaukee. \u201cSupport from CM Cares will allow us to reach even more students who need the resources and support to succeed in college.\u201d<\/p>

    \nOrganizations were nominated by employees who highlighted the role each organization plays in strengthening local communities. The selected organizations represent a broad range of causes, including youth and family support, education access, food and housing assistance, addiction recovery, medical research, animal rescue, arts and culture, and programs supporting underserved populations.<\/p>

    \nThe employee-led giving cycle follows CM CARES\u2019 recent tornado relief efforts<\/a>, which included a companywide employee match to support impacted communities.<\/p>

    \nTo date, CM Cares has provided support to more than 1,400 nonprofit organizations nationwide.<\/p>
