This annual industry benchmark survey covers Group Term Life and Accidental Death &amp; Dismemberment (AD&amp;D) inforce and new sales results for the U.S. market, representing combined employer-paid and employee-paid business.<\/p><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260528815577\/en\/730873\/4\/GenRe_SizeC_Color_hi_R.jpg\"><img src=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260528815577\/en\/730873\/22\/GenRe_SizeC_Color_hi_R.jpg\" \/><\/a><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260528815577\/en\/730873\/4\/GenRe_SizeC_Color_hi_R.jpg\"><img src=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260528815577\/en\/730873\/21\/GenRe_SizeC_Color_hi_R.jpg\" \/><\/a><p>\nTwenty-four companies provided Group Term Life results, while twenty-two provided AD&amp;D results.<\/p><p>\nKey observations of the survey include:<\/p><ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li>\nParticipants reported $32.8 billion in total Group Term Life inforce premium, a 1% increase compared to 2024 results.<\/li>\n<li>\nParticipants reported a 4% decline in new Group Term Life sales premium. New sales premium totaled $3.0 billion in 2025.<\/li>\n<li>\nAverage face amount for inforce was $108,013, while the new sales average face amount was $98,975 in 2025.<\/li>\n<li>\nAverage premium per case declined 2% for inforce business and grew 6% for new sales.<\/li>\n<li>\nCompared to 2024, Group AD&amp;D inforce premium grew 4%, while new sales fell 7%.<\/li>\n<\/ul><p>\nThe <i>Market Survey<\/i> is an annual benchmark survey produced by Gen Re, with the full results available only to participating companies.
