{"id":16658,"date":"2026-06-05T01:15:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T23:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stocks-future.com\/?guid=454325894d72e76b0c09ff965570e8fa"},"modified":"2026-06-05T01:15:00","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T23:15:00","slug":"certain-mfs-closed-end-funds-announce-closing-date-for-reorganization-and-change-of-investment-adviser","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stocks-future.com\/?p=16658","title":{"rendered":"Certain MFS Closed-End Funds Announce Closing Date for Reorganization and Change of Investment Adviser"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MFS Investment Management (\u201cMFS\u201d) announced today that the reorganization of MFS Charter Income Trust (NYSE: MCR) and MFS Intermediate High Income Fund (NYSE: CIF) (each a \u201cTarget Fund\u201d and collectively, the \u201cTarget Funds\u201d) into MFS Multimarket Income Trust (NYSE: MMT) (the \u201cSurviving Fund\u201d) (each a \u201cReorganization\u201d and collectively, the \u201cReorganizations\u201d) will be completed by the open of business on the New York Stock Exchange (\u201cNYSE\u201d) on Monday, June 22, 2026, subject to the satisfaction of certain closing conditions.<\/p><p>\nTo facilitate the Reorganizations, all shares of each Target Fund will cease trading on the NYSE as of market close on Thursday, June 18, 2026, and each Target Fund\u2019s shareholders will be issued newly issued common shares of the Surviving Fund. The aggregate net asset value (\u201cNAV\u201d) of such shares will equal the aggregate NAV (not the market value) of the common shares of the Target Fund held immediately prior to the applicable Reorganization.<\/p><p>\nPrior to open of business on the NYSE on Monday, June 22, 2026, abrdn Inc.
