Eigner brings deep expertise in ERISA, retirement plan regulation, and financial services law as Basic Capital accelerates its mission to upgrade workplace retirement plans.<\/p><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>

\nEigner joins Basic Capital from Goldman Sachs, where he served as Vice President in the legal department. Prior to Goldman Sachs, he was an attorney at Groom Law Group\u2014one of the nation\u2019s foremost ERISA boutiques\u2014where he advised clients on qualified retirement plans, Department of Labor fiduciary rules, investment due diligence, and service provider relationships.<\/p>

\nBefore his legal career, Eigner built a track record in financial services. He served as a Vice President at a large registered investment advisor, where he marketed 401(k) funds directly to plan sponsors, set all-time company sales records, and closed more than $23 million in business from high-net-worth and institutional clients.<\/p>

\nEigner is a recognized thought leader in the field, having been published or quoted in more than a dozen articles in publications such as \u201cFast Company,\u201d \u201cBloomberg Law,\u201d \u201cWestlaw Expert Insights,\u201d \"The Institute of International Economic Law\u201d and the \u201cInvestment Advisor Association Newsletter.\u201d He has also contributed columns for \u201cBenefitsPRO Magazine\u201d and \u201c401(k) Specialist Magazine\u201d and has appeared on popular retirement podcasts.<\/p>

\nHe holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. from the University of Alabama.<\/p>
