\nMichael holds leadership appointments in the federal social media addiction multidistrict litigation<\/a> In re Social Media Adolescent Addiction\/Personal Injury Products Liability Litigation<\/i>, which consolidates thousands of lawsuits brought by school districts, families and state attorneys general alleging that TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and YouTube have harmed children\u2019s mental health and are intentionally designed to be addictive. He is Co-Chair of the School District Committee, Co-Chair of the TikTok Liability team, and serves on the Plaintiff Leadership Committee. Michael was also one of the lead trial counsel for the first bellwether school district on behalf of Breathitt County Schools that settled shortly before trial.<\/p>

\nMichael is a nationally recognized mass tort and complex products liability litigator who has spent more than two decades representing plaintiffs in some of the largest and most significant multidistrict litigations in the country. Since 2002, he has represented tens of thousands of injured plaintiffs and helped secure billions of dollars in settlements against major corporate defendants. Michael has extensive experience representing clients injured by defective products, including pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and serves in a variety of leadership roles in complex product liability litigation. Known for his strategic leadership, litigation management, and collaborative approach, Michael has held numerous court-appointed leadership roles in high-profile litigations involving pharmaceutical products, medical devices, consumer products, and social media platforms.
