The Sites Fire burned more than 19,195 acres.<\/p><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260609936673\/en\/198050\/5\/BBlogo_Hor_color.jpg\"><img src=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260609936673\/en\/198050\/22\/BBlogo_Hor_color.jpg\" \/><\/a><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260609936673\/en\/198050\/5\/BBlogo_Hor_color.jpg\"><img src=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260609936673\/en\/198050\/21\/BBlogo_Hor_color.jpg\" \/><\/a><p>\n\u201cThe lawsuit seeks to recover critical infrastructure and natural resource damages caused by the Sites Fire,\u201d said <a  href=\"https:\/\/cts.businesswire.com\/ct\/CT?id=smartlink&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fbaronandbudd.com%2Four-attorneys%2Ftorri-sherlin%2F&amp;esheet=54550523&amp;newsitemid=20260609936673&amp;lan=en-US&amp;anchor=Torri+Sherlin&amp;index=2&amp;md5=ea9d709db61e60a9d8f060473136c94e\" rel=\"nofollow\" shape=\"rect\">Torri Sherlin<\/a>, a shareholder with Baron &amp; Budd P.C., outside counsel for Colusa County and the Resource Conservation District. \u201cThe Colusa County RCD brings this action pursuant to its statutory authority to restore the natural resources damages as a result of the Sites Fire and to recover critical damages to provide technical assistance to affected landowners.\u201d<\/p><p>\nThe complaint alleges causes of action for Inverse Condemnation, Negligence, Nuisance, Trespass, Violation of Public Utilities Code Sec. 2106, Violation of California Health &amp; Safety Code Sec. 13007, and Violation of Health and Safety Code Sec. 13009 et. seq.<\/p><p>\nThe complaint references PG&amp;E\u2019s disclosure to the California Public Utilities Commission acknowledging that \u201c[o]n June 17, 2024, at approximately 13:26, PG&amp;E experienced a line to ground fault on [its] EPSS enabled Elk Creek 1101 distribution circuit near Stonyford in Colusa County, a Tier 2 High Fire Threat District. A fire (the Sites Fire) was observed in the area shortly after this time.
