This year, 80 students from 68 high schools in 21 counties received scholarships of $1,000 or $1,500.<\/p><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260610325914\/en\/2447888\/4\/Tri_Counties_Bank_logo.jpg\"><img src=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260610325914\/en\/2447888\/22\/Tri_Counties_Bank_logo.jpg\" \/><\/a><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260610325914\/en\/2447888\/4\/Tri_Counties_Bank_logo.jpg\"><img src=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260610325914\/en\/2447888\/21\/Tri_Counties_Bank_logo.jpg\" \/><\/a><p>\nTwo types of scholarships are provided:<\/p><ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li>\nIncome-based scholarships for students with a Student Aid Index (SAI) of $6,655 or less and a minimum GPA of 2.5<\/li>\n<li>\nMerit-based scholarships for students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher<\/li>\n<\/ul><p>\nSixty $1,500 scholarships were awarded to low-to-moderate income students, and twenty $1,000 scholarships were awarded based on merit. Scholarship funds are sent directly to the recipient\u2019s college, university or trade school to assist with educational expenses.<\/p><p>\n\u201cA key element of fulfilling Tri Counties Bank\u2019s mission is investing in students who will help strengthen our communities,\u201d said Rick Smith, President and CEO of Tri Counties Bank. \u201cFrom nearly 800 applicants, this year\u2019s recipients stood out for their academic achievement, community service, and entrepreneurial spirit. We are proud to support their pursuit of higher education.\u201d<\/p><p>\nScholarships were awarded to students in the following counties: Butte, Contra Costa, Fresno, Glenn, Humboldt, Kern, Madera, Merced, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Mateo, Shasta, Siskiyou, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Sutter, Trinity, Yolo, and Yuba.<\/p><p>\nApplications for the 2027 scholarship cycle will open November 2, 2026.
