LONG BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Molina Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE: MOH) (\u201cMolina\u201d) announced today that the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) intends to award a HealthChoice Illinois Medicaid Managed Care program contract to Molina\u2019s Illinois health plan subsidiary, Molina Healthcare of Illinois.<\/p><\/a><\/a>

\nThe go-live date for the new contract is expected to be January 1, 2027. The contract is expected to have a duration of four-and-a-half years, with the option to extend the contract up to an additional five-and-a-half years at the discretion of the state. Molina Healthcare of Illinois will be one of six health plans offering health care coverage to Illinois\u2019s roughly 3.1 million total Medicaid beneficiaries.<\/p>
