\nThe credit union and the National Flag Foundation are encouraging communities, households, businesses and buildings nationwide to light up the night on July 4 in red, white and blue in honor of this historic event.<\/p>

\nOn July 4 at 9 pm ET, community members and cities nationwide can get involved by illuminating their homes, buildings and landmarks in red, white and blue, as well as flying the American Flag throughout the day. Participants are also encouraged to share photos and videos of their illuminated homes, buildings and landmarks on their social media channels to help create a collective display of remembrance across the nation. \nAdditionally, the Flag Sojourn 250 campaign<\/a>, a multi-year national odyssey to touch all Americans, while honoring the American Flag in recognition of the nation\u2019s history, will end on July 4 in Washington, DC. Since Flag Day, June 14, 2025, the Flag has traveled to all 26 US military cemeteries in 10 countries, plus US territories in the Pacific and the Atlantic. The Flag returned to the US on Oct. 8, 2025, and with assistance from the National Sheriffs\u2019 Association, the Flag will be presented to the America250 Committee and raised in the heart of the nation on July 4 in the District.<\/p>
