{"id":26685,"date":"2026-06-26T00:18:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T22:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stocks-future.com\/?guid=f8914fe9a9e83faa6e80002e6995b3b9"},"modified":"2026-06-26T00:18:00","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T22:18:00","slug":"covea-group-statement-on-cmap-arbitration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stocks-future.com\/?p=26685","title":{"rendered":"Cov\u00e9a Group: Statement on CMAP Arbitration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Cov\u00e9a Group advises that on 25 June 2026, the arbitration tribunal under the aegis of the Centre of Mediation and Arbitration of Paris (CMAP), issued its ruling for the litigation between the SCOR and Cov\u00e9a groups regarding the two retrocession treaties concluded on 30 June 2021.<\/p><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260625143633\/en\/2839796\/4\/Logo_covea.jpg\"><img src=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260625143633\/en\/2839796\/22\/Logo_covea.jpg\" \/><\/a><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260625143633\/en\/2839796\/4\/Logo_covea.jpg\"><img src=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260625143633\/en\/2839796\/21\/Logo_covea.jpg\" \/><\/a><p>\nThe arbitration tribunal decided that:<\/p><ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li>\nSCOR has failed to comply with its pre-contractual and contractual obligations to provide information.<\/li>\n<li>\nIn respect of compensation for the damages suffered by Cov\u00e9a as a result of these breaches, SCOR should be deprived of the sums claimed against Cov\u00e9a under the treaties until 31 December 2025, totalling USD 488,300,000.<\/li>\n<li>\nOnce this damage has been compensated, the retrocession treaties will continue.<\/li>\n<\/ul><p>\nThe Cov\u00e9a Group takes note of this decision of the arbitration tribunal which awards compensation to Cov\u00e9a in recognition of a breach by SCOR of its duties towards its counterparty.<\/p><p>\n<b>ABOUT COV\u00c9A\n<br\/><\/b>Cov\u00e9a is a mutual insurance group that is a European leader in insurance and reinsurance.
