{"id":27088,"date":"2026-06-26T18:30:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-26T16:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stocks-future.com\/?guid=7ce3349c08aaa4b486bddb4c278a83b8"},"modified":"2026-06-26T18:30:00","modified_gmt":"2026-06-26T16:30:00","slug":"windward-risk-managers-announces-approved-rate-decreases-for-edison-and-florida-peninsula-policies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stocks-future.com\/?p=27088","title":{"rendered":"Windward Risk Managers Announces Approved Rate Decreases for Edison and Florida Peninsula Policies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Windward Risk Managers today announced approved statewide rate decreases for certain policies issued by Edison Insurance Company and Florida Peninsula Insurance Company.<\/p><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260626448076\/en\/2839904\/5\/WRM-Logo.jpg\"><img src=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260626448076\/en\/2839904\/22\/WRM-Logo.jpg\" \/><\/a><br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260626448076\/en\/2839904\/5\/WRM-Logo.jpg\"><img src=\"https:\/\/mms.businesswire.com\/media\/20260626448076\/en\/2839904\/21\/WRM-Logo.jpg\" \/><\/a><p>\nThe changes, approved by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, are effective <b>July 1, 2026<\/b>, for new business and <b>July 15, 2026<\/b>, for renewals.<\/p><p>\nApproved average rate level decreases are:<\/p><ul class=\"bwlistdisc\">\n<li>\n<b>Edison Insurance Company:<\/b> <b>10%<\/b> for HO-3 homeowner policies and <b>10.5%<\/b> for HO-6 condo unit-owner policies.<\/li>\n<li>\n<b>Florida Peninsula Insurance Company:<\/b> <b>0.9%<\/b> for DP-3 dwelling property policies, commonly used for rental homes as well as owner-occupied homes.<\/li>\n<\/ul><p>\n<b>Beyond the Rate Decrease: Tenant-Occupied DP-3 Surcharge Eliminated<\/b><\/p><p>\nIn addition to the approved DP-3 rate decrease, Florida Peninsula is removing the surcharge for tenant-occupied dwelling property (DP-3) properties. For some landlords and rental property owners, this change<b> <\/b>may result in<b> <\/b>more meaningful premium reductions than the statewide average decrease alone.<\/p><p>\n\"These approved changes are intended to provide relief in areas where pricing conditions have improved, while maintaining a disciplined approach to underwriting and risk management,\" said Paul Adkins, CEO, Windward Risk Managers.<\/p><p>\nThe company noted that individual premium impacts will vary.
