<\/a><\/a>A total of 31,075<\/b> skydives were reported from 43<\/b> countries around the world, surpassing the previous record of 30,351<\/b> jumps established in 2024. The record-breaking effort united first-time tandem students and experienced skydivers alike in a worldwide celebration of the sport and its growing global community.<\/p>
\u201cRecords are made to be broken, and we\u2019re excited that tens of thousands of people from around the world were able to make their way to a drop zone and celebrate our sport,\u201d said USPA Executive Director Albert Berchtold. \u201cThis record signifies the continued growth of the sport, welcoming newcomers and celebrating experienced skydivers who have made a significant commitment to skydiving.\u201d<\/p>
There was a 16.3% increase in World Skydiving Day participation from 2025 to 2026, with countless jumpers making their first-ever skydive to join the record attempt. The United States, Canada and Australia <\/b>led the way in participation by country, combining for 19,516 skydives<\/b>. The 4th annual World Skydiving Day will take place on July 10, 2027, when skydivers from around the world will come together again to attempt to break this new record.<\/p>
