\nOneLegacy is partnering with Loma Linda University Medical Center, Keck USC Medical Center and Cedars Sinai Medical Center to provide NMP technology and save more lives. This technology offers an advantage to both transplant centers and patients waiting for a lifesaving liver transplant, by allowing the liver to recover from physical damage.<\/p>
\nOrganOx metra\u00ae<\/i> continuously perfuses the donor liver with oxygenated blood-based perfusate, medications, and nutrients at normal body temperature and near-physiologic pressures and flows outside the body. This process allows more informed and accurate assessment of livers that may have otherwise been discarded to then be considered suitable for transplantation.<\/p>
