Each year, one active-duty or reserve enlisted service member from each of the six branches of the military, along with one member of the National Guard, is recognized for volunteer efforts and mission accomplishments. Past recipients have demonstrated leadership both in their units and in their communities through volunteerism, mentorship and community service.<\/p><p>\nGEICO Military Service Award honorees receive a certificate of achievement, along with a $5,000 cash honorarium from the GEICO Philanthropic Foundation.
