\nOn July 27, 2026, the FDA released briefing documents raising concerns about the evidence supporting deramiocel. FDA staff questioned Capricor\u2019s analysis of the HOPE-3 trial, stating that the conversion of results was not \u201cscientifically justified\u201d because it \u201cadds complexity and reduces accuracy.\u201d FDA staff further concluded that \u201cthe benefit-risk assessment for deramiocel appears unfavorable in the absence of evidence of effectiveness.\u201d<\/p>

\nOn July 29, 2026, the FDA\u2019s Cellular, Tissue and Gene Therapies Advisory Committee voted 9 to 3, with no abstentions, that the available evidence did not support deramiocel\u2019s effectiveness in treating cardiomyopathy in patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The committee\u2019s vote is nonbinding.<\/p>

\nFollowing the release of the FDA briefing documents, Capricor\u2019s stock price declined approximately 65% on July 27, 2026. The stock fell sharply again on July 30 following the committee vote, resulting in significant losses for investors.<\/p>
