ROSEVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A historic event will take place at The Belvedere, a home community in Historic Roseville, as community leaders, residents, and guests gather to honor pioneering railroad engineer Edwina \u201cCurlie\u201d Justus with a street dedication.<\/p><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>

\nThe event will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM<\/b>, with a tour and light refreshments to follow.<\/p>

\nEdwina Justus made history as the first African American woman locomotive engineer in Union Pacific\u2019s history<\/b>, breaking barriers in a traditionally male-dominated industry and paving the way for future generations. In recognition of her achievements and impact, The Belvedere community has named a street in her honor \u2013 \u201cEdwina Justus Loop\u201d.<\/p>
