LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rachel Lanier<\/a>, Managing Attorney of the Los Angeles office for The Lanier Law Firm, has been named to Law360\u2019s Rising Stars for 2026, recognizing her leadership role in trials representing plaintiffs in several high-profile matters, particularly in multidistrict litigation. \nAs a key participant on the firm\u2019s social media addiction trial team, Ms. Lanier is at the forefront of the fight to hold social media companies accountable for their harmful features. In the first bellwether trial against social media giants Meta and YouTube, tried earlier this year in Los Angeles, the team secured a jury verdict of $3 million in compensatory damages and $3 million in punitive damages against the companies for the mental and physical harm to the single unnamed plaintiff. Ms. Lanier also serves as co-lead counsel in California\u2019s Judicial Council Coordinated Proceedings for social media addiction cases, which is currently coordinating hundreds of claims that involve common issues of fact or law.<\/p>
