What Is This Lawsuit About? <\/b>The lawsuit alleges that Wise made materially false and\/or misleading statements and failed to disclose that, in order to have a successful debut on the NASDAQ, the Company materially understated Wise\u2019s regulatory risks as a result of its materially deficient anti-money laundering efforts and insufficient efforts to prevent the financing of terrorism.<\/p>

On June 1, 2026, Reuters published an article entitled \u201cFintech Wise\u2019s shares fall on Belgian money-laundering investigation.\u201d The article reported that London-listed shares in Wise fell by more than 10% on the news that the Brussels Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office was investigating the Company\u2019s European entity in cases involving over $582.5 million in suspicious transactions. The article revealed that the investigation \u201cconcerns potential money laundering offences, with alleged links to fraud, corruption and drug trafficking\u201d and \u201cwhether Wise Europe\u2019s services were used by international criminal organizations.\u201d On this news, Wise\u2019s U.S. stock price fell $0.67 per share, or 5.24%, to close at $12.10 on June 1, 2026. The price then fell $0.56 per share, or 4.6%, to close at $12.10 on June 2, 2026. The stock fell a further $0.82 per share, or 7.1%, to close at $10.72 per share on June 3, 2026.<\/p>

On July 24, 2026, The Wall Street Journal <\/i>published an article entitled \u201cWise Group Shares Drop After U.S. Regulator Denies License on Shortcomings.\u201d The article reported that London-listed shares in Wise fell after the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency denied the Company\u2019s application for a national trust bank license, \u201cciting deficiencies in its program to combat money laundering and terrorism financing.\u201d On this news, Wise\u2019s stock price fell $0.75 per share, or 6.2%, to close at $11.33 per share on July 24, 2026.<\/p>
