\nTo determine the 2026 list, Premier researchers evaluated 336 health systems nationwide. Systems included in the study must have at least two short-term, acute care hospitals and meet established inclusion criteria. The analysis aggregates data across each system\u2019s hospitals to evaluate performance at the enterprise level.<\/p>
\nAs with all Premier performance studies, participation is not application-based. Health systems do not opt in or out and are never asked to pay for inclusion, ensuring an objective and transparent assessment.<\/p>
