Ladenburg Thalmann Expands Biotechnology Equity Research Team with Addition of Two Senior Analysts, Rick Bienkowski, Ph.D. and Caroline Palomeque
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc. (“Ladenburg Thalmann”), a middle-market investment bank providing investment banking, equity research, and institutional sales and trading services, and subsidiary of Osaic, Inc. (“Osaic”), today announced that Rick Bienkowski, Ph.D. and Caroline Palomeque have joined the firm’s Biotechnology Equity Research team as Managing Directors.


Dr. Bienkowski and Ms. Palomeque further expand Ladenburg Thalmann’s biotechnology equity research platform, enhancing coverage across gene therapy, genetic medicines, and innovative life sciences companies. Their addition reflects the firm’s continued investment in its research capabilities and commitment to providing fundamental research and industry analysis to institutional investors.

Dr. Bienkowski was Director of Biotechnology Equity Research at Cantor Fitzgerald, where he covered gene editing, cell therapy, and genetic medicine companies. He also held roles at SVB Leerink and RBC Capital Markets. Dr. Bienkowski holds a Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Emory University and a B.S. from Cornell University.
Prior to joining Ladenburg Thalmann, Ms. Palomeque was an Equity Research Analyst at Berenberg Capital Markets. In previous roles, she covered biotechnology companies at Maxim Group and WallachBeth and was a member of the biotechnology teams at Oppenheimer, JMP Securities, and Goldman Sachs. Ms. Palomeque holds an MBA in Finance from Fordham Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Dr. Bienkowski and Ms. Palomeque will be based in Ladenburg Thalmann’s New York City office.
