The Red Dot Award: Product Design is one of the internationally established competitions for product design. Since 1955, it has recognized products that stand out for their high design quality. At the core of the competition is the thorough evaluation by the independent Red Dot Jury. It examines all submissions in detail and discusses them regarding key aspects of good design – including function, usability, responsibility and aesthetic quality. The jury is composed of internationally experienced experts from various disciplines. Submissions come from numerous countries and are assessed through a multi-stage evaluation process.
